Job summary

D&V Philippines is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage trusts, other family office entities, investments, and real estate holdings, delivering accurate financial reporting in GAAP and cash basis frameworks.

You will maintain accounting records for trusts and real estate portfolios, reconcile accounts, assist with monthly, quarterly and annual statements, support tax filings and audits, and collaborate across teams to strengthen internal controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, with preference for family office, public accounting, and/or real estate backgrounds.
• Familiarity with GAAP and cash basis accounting; trust accounting experience a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for trusts and other family office entities in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Record and monitor investments, distributions, and other transactions related to family office accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for trusts and other family office entities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and tenant deposits.
• Assist the Senior Accountant with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
• Support tax filings, compliance reporting, and audits for real estate entities.
• Coordinate with third-party property managers, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed.
• Assist in maintaining accounting policies and procedures to support efficiency and internal controls.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects

Work Setup & Schedule

10:00pm to 7:00am PH Time (7:00am to 4:00pm LA Time) (Monday - Friday) Hybrid setup with 1–2 days onsite per month or quarter.

Job Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting for several trusts, other investments, and will assist the Senior Accountant with the company's real estate holdings. This role requires great technical accounting skills, familiarity with both GAAP and cash basis reporting, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.

Family Office & Trust Accounting

• Maintain accounting records for trusts and other family office entities in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Record and monitor investments, distributions, and other transactions related to family office accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for trusts and other family office entities.

Real Estate Accounting

• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and tenant deposits.
