Job summary

D&V Philippines, a professional services firm serving CFOs and firms across regions, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage month-end and year-end closings and ensure audit readiness.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience (public or non-profit), a CPA or candidate, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Solomon, and Great Plains, plus strong Excel skills. Hybrid work with onsite training is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or CPA Candidate, MBA or MBA Candidate or candidate for other certification.
• Supervisory experience required.
• 5+ years accounting experience in Public Accounting or Non-Profit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, including audit schedules, financial statements and notes.
• Keep engagement partner informed on engagement progress, issues, and team status.
• Prepare monthly financial statements: position, activities, functional expenses, and variance analysis.
• Review reconciliations for significant balance sheet and other general ledger accounts; review closing entries.

Job description

Work Setup & Schedule:

• 3:00 PM to 12:00 MN, Monday to Friday
• Hybrid (Onsite for 4 months during the busy season in 2027)
• Initially requires 3 months onsite training, followed by a transition to a hybrid setup (1–2 days onsite per month or quarter)

What will make you a great fit:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration or other related field.

CPA or CPA Candidate, MBA or MBA Candidate or candidate for other relevant certification.

Supervisory experience required.

5+ years of accounting experience in Public Accounting or at a Non-Profit organization

preferred.

Proficient with various accounting software programs including but not limited to QuickBooks,

Sage Intacct, Solomon and Great Plains.

Proficient in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Ability to conduct analytical reviews and exhibit an understanding of complex accounting

theory.

A deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparation of audit

schedules, financial statements and notes to the financial statements.

• Keep engagement partner informed and updated on engagement progress, engagement

issues, and team status and needs.

• Knowledgeable on complex accounting issues and treatment, proficient in accounting

research.

• Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, including statement of financial
• position, statement of activities, statement of functional expenses, and analysis on changes

in financial position and budget variances.

• Review reconciliations for significant balance sheet accounts and various other general

ledger accounts, as needed; and review month-end closing entries including payroll, fringe,

indirect allocations, investment allocations, and grant allocations.
