Job summary

TaskUs is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses for analytics infrastructure. You will ensure data is accurate, timely, and accessible for BI reporting, while collaborating with business stakeholders to improve the BI platform.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/ETL tooling experience, and familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud ecosystems.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in data engineering.
Experience with Python, Kafka, Redshift, Glue, S3, and Pentaho Data Integration.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
2+ years hands-on development using ETL tools (Pentaho, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Fivetran, Airflow).
Experience with architecture/design/implementation of MPP databases (Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift).
3+ years development using cloud-based analytics solutions (AWS or GCP).
Knowledge of designing streaming pipelines with Kafka, Spark, or Segment.

Responsibilities

Configure and move data from operations and external sources to the BI environment.
Manage data integration and ETL jobs including quality checks and transformations.
Automate jobs using reusable patterns and monitor production pipelines.
Design and optimize data models to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with technical users to define data requirements and business rules.
Deliver and enhance BI datasets to provide accurate insights.
