Job summary

Stratpoint Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and the data warehouse. You will collaborate with stakeholders to document business and data models and assess tools to optimize costs and performance.

The role requires 2–6 years in IT project delivery or data development, with strong SQL and ETL, and exposure to Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud environments. Hybrid work setup with supportive management and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years in IT project delivery or data development in Data Warehousing or BI.
• Graduate of BS Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Strong SQL and ETL development experience for data warehousing or BI projects.
• Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, EMR, Hive; cloud environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Java, or Scala is a plus.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data integrations, data quality, and data architecture.
• Experience with AWS data integrations (Glue, Athena) and Spark/Databricks.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake, Data Lake, Kafka, and real-time processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines loading data into the data warehouse.
• Support and optimize existing data pipelines to meet downstream SLAs.
• Attend Agile ceremonies and deliver data ingestion requirements for the data warehouse.
• Ensure data quality within data warehouse tables and enforce standards.
• Maintain code version history, readability, deployment, and post deployment support.
• Support L2/L3 data operations and cross-tribe data needs.
• Manage data storage, compute unit requirements, and data security.
• Gather data requirements from Tribe demands and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate technical excellence for the data warehouse platform.
• Provide data delivery documentation (Data Dictionary, Data Mapping, Data Models).
• Optimize data pipelines and support project delivery and operations.
