Northern Trust in Manila is seeking an Associate Consultant for AML investigations within its Global AML Compliance function. The role focuses on initial investigation of unusual activity alerts, applying AML expertise, and guiding junior staff in a tightly regulated environment.

Responsible for the initial investigation of potential unusual activity involving Northern Trust accounts/clients that have alerted in Northern Trust’s global automated transaction monitoring system. This role is specific to anti-money laundering (AML) investigations at the alert level (level one) as part of Northern Trust’s Global AML Compliance function. Uses specific knowledge of a discipline to achieve goals through own work. Has specific knowledge or expertise typically gained through formal education or equivalent experience. Uses expertise to provide guidance to others as a project manager or consultant. Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline. Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and clients. Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. The Associate Consultant supports the Manager in ensuring operational efficiency. Carries out complex activities with regulatory compliance impact. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees. Manages daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role).
