Job summary

Holman Fenwick Willan Singapore LLP is seeking a motivated transactional lawyer to build a specialist climate and structured finance practice within a top international firm.

You will work on complex cross-border commodities, structured finance and derivatives matters, gaining exposure to carbon markets and climate finance transactions across Asia while collaborating with market-leading lawyers.

Qualifications

• 3–4 PQE with a transactional finance background.
• Strong academic track record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent.
• Experience in banking and finance, structured finance, derivatives, asset finance or commodity finance transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating finance and commercial documentation.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded transactional lawyer looking to build a specialist practice in our commodities group's climate and structured finance team.

Requirements and Skills

• 3–4 PQE with a transactional finance background
• Strong academic track record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
• Experience in banking and finance, structured finance, derivatives, asset finance or commodity finance transactions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
• Experience reviewing and negotiating finance and commercial documentation
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good commercial awareness and an interest in commodities, finance and energy markets
