Qualifications

• Qualified or soon-to-be qualified Singapore solicitor.
• Minimum 2:1 degree.
• Interest in commodities, structured finance, derivatives and commodity finance transactions.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and good practical case-handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Efficient, organised and able to demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident, willing to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks, while recognising when to seek support and guidance.
• Personable and able to communicate comfortably with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Join the Commodities team and work on a broad range of commodity and climate-related transactions, including structured derivative transactions and carbon finance transactions.
• Collaborate with market-leading lawyers on complex cross-border transactions.
• Receive mentoring from specialists and gain early responsibility in your practice area.
• Develop a specialist commodities practice within a leading international law firm.
