Job summary

Seven Seas Oil Trading Pte Ltd is seeking a procurement/administration professional to support marine operations in the Philippines. The role involves obtaining quotes, coordinating with vendors and arranging service engineers for vessel maintenance, ensuring timely service and parts delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering with 1-2 years’ marine industry experience.
• Willing to work odd hours, weekends and public holidays if required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotations for services and spares from company's registered vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors and arrange service engineers to attend to vessel.
• Attend and monitor service progress onboard and ensure timely completion to minimize downtime.
• Liaise with vessel and vendors to order parts and ensure timely delivery of spares.
• Identify and follow up on off land items from vessel for repair / service ashore.
• Assist Technical Superintendent with purchase orders, delivery orders / service reports & submission of invoices to Accounts.
• Support Technical Superintendent on dry docking and related activities.
• Update & maintain inventory list for vessel spare parts, plans and drawings.
• Update, maintain & monitor records of month end papers, lube oil analysis reports, statutory certificates & other certificates.
• Ensure all activities are carried out and comply according to company’s SMS.

Education

Diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering

• Diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering and have at least 1-2 years’ experience working in the marine industry, preferably with shipowner or ship management companies.


• Able to work during odd hours, weekends & public holidays if required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Liaise with vessel and vendor to order correct parts & ensure timely delivery of spares and other necessary items for operation;


• Identify, arrange and follow up on off land items from vessel for repair / service ashore;


• To assist Technical Superintendent on issuance of Purchase Orders, consolidating delivery orders / service reports & submission of invoices to Accounts department;


• Support Technical Superintendent on dry docking and related activities;


• Update & maintain inventory list for vessel spare parts, plans and drawings;


• Update, maintain & monitor records of month end papers, lube oil analysis reports, statutory certificates & other certificate.


• Ensure all activities are carried out and comply according to company’s Safety Management System (SMS);
