Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Assistant Pricing Analyst to support rate acquisition and spot quote processing. You will ensure timely, accurate quotations while maintaining process documentation with the Account Owner and collaborating with customer-facing and internal teams.

The role emphasizes adherence to SLAs, quality checks, and proactive communication to customers, with opportunities to contribute to process optimization and business updates.

Qualifications

• English language at least B2 level.
• Experience in freight forwarding or shipping shared services is preferred.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and their application to international shipments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Account Owners, stakeholders and pricing department.
• Update monthly spot process reports and performance dashboards.
• Review pricing submissions for quality, plausibility and completeness.
• Propose process improvements and drive implementation with Team Lead.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers to tailor customer presentations.

Position target:

The Assistant Pricing Analyst supports rate acquisition and spot quote processing activities, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and high-quality quotations in accordance with customer requirements and established service standards. The role assists in maintaining process documentation, including Process Work Instructions (PWI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), in collaboration with the Account Owner. Working closely with customer-facing and non-customer-facing support teams, the Assistant Pricing Analyst contributes to the efficient execution of spot quote activities while maintaining compliance with operational processes and quality standards.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Established communication with the Account Owners, Stakeholders and DSV country pricing department.


• Updating overview and monthly performance reports related to the spot process.


• Acts as a central resource for spot pricing queries.


• Reviews and validates pricing submissions through quality, logical, and plausibility checks to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to customers.


• Proposing improvements/optimizations of performed processes and its implementation once agreed with the Team Lead.


• Acknowledging and replying to any emails related to spot process within the customer SLA.


• Works closely with Key Account Managers to tailor presentations according to customer requirements and provide meaningful business updates that support customer engagement and retention thru operational call.


• Other adhoc tasks requested by the Team Lead or SPE related to spot process.


• Compliance with internal regulations, procedures, law and managers orders, including labor regulations, regulations on remuneration and other internal regulations in the company.

• Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education.

Education and skills:

• College / University Graduate (Business, Mathemetics, Statistics, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain and Industrial Engineer studies are preferable)


• English language at least at a B2 level


• Sales and Commercial Process Exposure Exposure to sales and commercial activities in the logistics sector is advantageous for understanding customer requirements and internal processes.


• Knowledge of Incoterms Understanding Incoterms and their application to international shipments is essential for ensuring compliance and clarity in trade transactions.


• Multitasking and Task Management Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently, especially in high-pressure situations.


• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Excel) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills for data analysis, reporting, and communication.


• Web-Based Applications & Internet Proficiency Comfortable navigating web-based applications and utilizing online resources for efficient operations.


• Quick Comprehension and Focused Work Strong ability to quickly grasp new concepts and maintain focus under pressure to ensure high-quality work.


• Resilience and Deadline Management Demonstrates resilience and the ability to prioritize effectively, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

Minimal work experience:

• At least have experience working a freight forwarding or shipping line shared service set-up, minimum 1yr-2yrs.


• At least have customer facing experience at on demand requests.
