The role
The Assistant Manager – Global HR Shared Services is responsible for overseeing daily HR operations and ensuring the delivery of efficient, accurate, and high-quality HR services. The role manages a team of HR Associates and SMEs, drives operational excellence, ensures compliance across supported regions, manages stakeholder relationships, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HR Associates and SMEs by providing coaching, guidance, performance feedback, and development support.
- Oversee daily HR operations to ensure achievement of SLAs, KPIs, service quality targets, and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain HR processes, procedures, and service standards to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor team performance, identify improvement areas, and allocate resources based on business priorities and workload demands.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with onshore/offshore teams and ensure timely resolution of escalated HR issues.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and HR technology adoption to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regional labor laws, statutory requirements, HR policies, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits through documentation management, process reviews, and compliance activities.
- Lead or support HR projects, including transition activities, process enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or related HR functions.
- Proven experience in team leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution.
- Experience supporting global HR operations and managing onshore/offshore teams.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; HR technology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma) and project management is an advantage.
