Macondray Finance Corporation is seeking an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while supporting management in financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in general accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in financing, lending, banking, or financial services industry preferred but not required.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, month-end and year-end closing, and management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, BIR, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, variance analysis, business performance evaluation, risk assessment, and financial analysis.
• Experience in establishing accounting policies, strengthening internal controls, and managing audits.
• Proficient in NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup formulas, and financial data analysis.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately within deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and sound judgment when handling financial information.
