Job summary

USANA Health Sciences Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, from processing payables and closing books each month to staying audit-ready and ensuring compliant processes.

You will handle vendor payments, reconciliations, and internal controls, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. A degree in accountancy and 2+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in accountancy or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of VAT and withholding taxes per BIR regulations.
• Experience with a computerized accounting system; Oracle preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and other common office software.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to work in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions for vendors and employees and generate the invoice register.
• Apply payments to related invoices and generate the payment register.
• Process disbursements, including electronic and check payments.
• Monitor vendor billings and payments, plus accounts receivable for employees and others.
• Prepare accounts payable reconciliations, expense accruals, and month-end closing analyses.
• Ensure internal controls compliance and provide evidence for audits.
• Ensure proper disbursement substantiation and AP documentation for external audits.
