Job summary

Boomering Inc, based in the Philippines, is seeking an Architectural Hardware Scheduler to join our hybrid team. You will convert project drawings and specifications into precise door-by-door hardware schedules, aligning with NCC/BCA standards and client needs.

The role requires 1–2 years in construction, knowledge of ProMaster and E1 is a plus, and a keen eye for detail. You will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate schedules and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction discipline is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Experience with ProMaster WH Software is highly advantageous.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL HARDWARE SCHEDULER

Our client is an established Australian business specializing in architectural door hardware and security solutions for the construction industry. Working across projects ranging from smaller commercial developments through to schools, hospitals and other major projects, the business supports the construction sector with accurate specification and scheduling of door hardware.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline.
• 1 to 2 years' relevant experience within the construction industry, ideally in Quantity Surveying, construction estimating, scheduling, or a related technical role.
• Experience using “ProMaster by WH Software” would be highly advantageous, although training can be provided to the right candidate.
• Experience using “EstimateOne (E1)” would also be advantageous, particularly when reviewing revised or updated project documentation.
• Australian construction industry experience and familiarity with the National Construction Code (NCC/BCA) would be highly advantageous.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, door schedules, specifications and technical project documentation accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with an understanding that accuracy is critical to both compliance and commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically through detailed project information.
• Competent with Microsoft 365 and comfortable working with cloud-based documents and internal systems.
• Good written and verbal English with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal Project Managers and team members.
• A proactive and accountable approach to work, with the ability to ask the right questions, learn from feedback and apply that knowledge independently to future work.
• A process-minded individual who takes ownership of their work, values accuracy and is motivated to continuously develop their technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed door-by-door architectural hardware schedules from project drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Review architectural and construction documentation to identify the hardware requirements for each door within a project.
• Schedule relevant door hardware including hinges, locks, handles, door closers, panic and emergency exit hardware and other associated components.
• Produce clear and accurate itemised hardware requirements and bills of quantities for scheduled projects.
• Ensure hardware selections consider the intended function of each door together with relevant regulatory, compliance and practical requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of applicable Australian National Construction Code (NCC/BCA) requirements and apply this knowledge accurately when preparing schedules.
• Review revisions and updated project documentation, identifying changes that may affect existing door hardware schedules.
• Work closely with internal Project Managers to clarify project requirements, resolve scheduling questions and ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Thoroughly check and take ownership of work before submitting schedules for internal review.
• Apply feedback and corrections to future work, progressively reducing the level of checking and supervision required as technical competency develops.
• Help document, refine and improve scheduling processes to create consistent and efficient ways of working as the function grows.
• Maintain organised project records and ensure scheduling documentation is accurate, current and completed within agreed deadlines.
