JOB SUMMARY
A Licensed Architect with at least four years of experience in architectural design and drawing production, including low-cost housing projects. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp modeling, and architectural rendering software.
The ideal candidate can develop practical, cost-efficient designs, prepare coordinated construction drawings, and produce 3D models and visual presentations while meeting project requirements and deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Develop architectural concepts, space plans, layouts, elevations, sections, and construction details for housing projects and related facilities.
- 2. Prepare complete architectural drawing packages using AutoCAD and Revit for presentations, permit applications, bidding, and construction.
- 3. Create detailed SketchUp models and produce architectural renderings using rendering software.
- 4. Design functional low-cost housing units, considering space utilization, natural lighting, ventilation, durability, and ease of construction.
- 5. Develop standard housing models and adapt designs to different lot sizes, site conditions, and project requirements.
- 6. Coordinate architectural drawings and models with structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and sanitary, and fire protection designs.
- 7. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulations and project standards.
- 8. Prepare material specifications and finish schedules and assist with quantity takeoffs and cost reviews.
- 9. Propose design and material alternatives to improve affordability while maintaining quality and functionality.
- 10. Conduct site visits, respond to technical queries, and resolve design issues with the project team.
- 11. Review shop drawings, material samples, and as-built drawings for alignment with the approved architectural design.
- 12. Maintain organized drawing files, models, revision records, and project documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 2. Licensed Architect with a valid professional license.
- 3. At least 4 years of experience in architectural design and drawing production.
- 4. Demonstrated experience in low-cost or affordable housing design.
- 5. Proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit, including architectural modeling, detailing, and construction drawing production.
- 6. Proficiency in SketchUp modeling for design development and presentation.
- 7. Proficiency in at least one architectural rendering program, with the ability to produce high-quality exterior and interior visualizations.
- 8. Ability to prepare detailed, coordinated construction drawings with minimal supervision.
- 9. Knowledge of residential space planning, construction methods, materials, and applicable building and housing regulations.
- 10. Strong attention to detail, design judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- 11. Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with other disciplines.
- 12. Registered Master Plumber with a valid professional license is an advantage.
- 13. Experience in subdivision planning, mass housing, or housing developments.
- 14. Experience in BIM coordination and managing Revit models across disciplines.
- 15. Experience in value engineering, design standardization, and cost-efficient material selection.
- 16. Experience coordinating permit submissions and addressing review comments.
- 17. Practical experience in site coordination and construction detailing.
