Job summary
GoTeam is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to deliver high-end residential design and technical documentation from a remote location in the Philippines. You will translate design intent into buildable drawings and manage design development in collaboration with directors and clients.
You will produce comprehensive town planning sets, detailed working drawings, and maintain strict revision control while coordinating with trade specialists to safeguard constructability and on-site
Qualifications
- 5+ years of architectural design and documentation experience focused on high-end residential projects
- Proven capability producing town planning sets, working drawings, joinery details, and revision-controlled drawing registers
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex residential design, constructability details, and technical documentation
- Exposure to Australian residential building standards, town planning processes, or trade shop drawing reviews (highly preferred)
- Willingness to work aligned with Australian business hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM PHT) from a dedicated Work-From-Home setup anywhere in the Philippines
Responsibilities
- Translate high-level vision into clear architectural concepts and functional residential designs
- Develop concept and design development drawings for in-house design-and-build projects in collaboration with Directors and clients
- Translate client briefs and architectural intent into buildable, compliant design proposals
- Produce visual presentation materials, sketch details, and spatial layouts to support client alignment
- Prepare comprehensive town planning sets and detailed working drawing packages for construction
- Maintain organized drawing registers, document distribution logs, and strict version/revision control
- Produce detailed drawings and documentation to support variations, RFIs, and scope changes
- Review architect drawing sets to identify constructability risks, missing details, and cross-disciplinary clashes
- Prepare and revise technical drawings, construction details, and site sketches to resolve builder queries
- Review and mark up trade shop drawings including joinery, structural steel, glazing, and specialist fabricators
- Assist with estimating and tender documentation through accurate quantity takeoffs and scope clarifications

You own design development and technical documentation outputs that support high-end, complex residential construction projects for a Melbourne-based architectural builder. Your work directly translates design intent into clear, buildable information, bridging the gap between initial concept, town planning, and on-site completion.
This is not a purely theoretical design role. You operate within defined project scopes, coordinate closely with directors and trade specialists, and are trusted to resolve on-site buildability questions through precise detail sketches and drawing reviews. Best suited for professionals who thrive in structured delivery environments, value constructability and technical rigor, and take pride in turning ambitious designs into executable reality.
- 5+ years of architectural design and documentation experience focused on high-end residential projects
- Proven capability producing town planning sets, working drawings, joinery details, and revision-controlled drawing registers
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex residential design, constructability details, and technical documentation
- Exposure to Australian residential building standards, town planning processes, or trade shop drawing reviews (highly preferred)
- Willingness to work aligned with Australian business hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM PHT) from a dedicated Work-From-Home setup anywhere in the Philippines
- Prior experience working directly with Australian architectural firms or custom residential builders
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD, Revit, or AutoCAD with a disciplined approach to BIM/CAD drafting standards
- Degree in Architecture with active professional registration or licensure
- You translate high-level vision into clear architectural concepts and functional residential designs.
