Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Services to oversee the daily activities of the AR team, including inventory management and staff training.

The role emphasizes ensuring timely follow-up, QA of staff work, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while coordinating with internal and external clients. This onsite position requires strong leadership and communication skills within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a hospital business office setting or similar setting.
• Experience in Hospital/Facility billing and Home Infusion billing.
• Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, goal oriented and flexible.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written skills to communicate with patients, co-workers, insurance companies, hospital staff, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate follow-up to ensure equitable work assignments and timely collections.
• Perform weekly QA review of team’s work.
• Weekly review of staff productivity reports.
• Provide weekly productivity updates to the AR Analyst.
• Assist/resolve external and internal client inquiries.
• Prepares and maintains reports or logs as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of healthcare issues and regulations.
• Identify issues and work with the manager/director to resolve them.
• Provide training, monitoring and feedback as well as disciplinary action as necessary.
• Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality at all times.
• Monitor team attendance and PTO usage.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Ensure remote client access is disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures by the team.
