Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an Application Security professional to lead vulnerability management and penetration testing across systems, apps, and cloud resources. You will collaborate with IT and product teams to remediate findings and strengthen security controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in application security testing.
• Hands-on experience in web and mobile application penetration testing.
• Solid understanding of application security frameworks and principles.
• Practical skills with BurpSuite or Kali.
• Familiar with vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform app security assessments on internal/external systems (web/mobile/app APIs).
• Conduct periodic penetration tests on networks, apps, infrastructure, and cloud assets.
• Create assessment reports for product owners after each test.
• Collaborate with IT teams to recommend secure designs for projects.
• Identify and maintain IT risk registers; track mitigating actions.
• Manage vulnerability scans and policy compliance checks.
• Assist in IT security assessments and compliance checks.
• Stay up to date with threats and suggest countermeasures.
• Respond to ad-hoc security assessment requests.
• Coordinate with teams for automated security tests.

About The Job

Application Security is the point person for the company‑wide vulnerability management and penetration testing program, devises a plan to ethically attack the company’s IT infrastructure and information systems and proactively work with relevant business units to resolve identified vulnerabilities and exposures.

What You Will Do

• Perform Application Security assessments on internally and externally developed systems, e.g., Android and iOS mobile app, web applications, API’s, etc.
• Conduct periodic penetration tests on company network, applications, infrastructure and cloud-based resources/IT assets
• Creates Application Security assessment reports for business/product owners after every pen test
• Works with various IT Teams and business owners to review and recommend security controls and system design for various IT projects
• Identifies and maintains register of IT and information risks. Recommends risk reduction controls and tracks the mitigating activities
• Manages periodic vulnerability scans, policy compliance scans, web application scans and source code reviews including periodic reporting
• Assists in periodic IT Security assessments and compliance checks
• Ensures visibility of latest and emerging threats and recommends countermeasures
• Attend to ad-hoc IT Security Assessment requests
• Works with various teams in setting up automated security scans and tests

What You Need To Have

• At least 3 years experience in application security testing
• Hands on experience in web and mobile application penetration testing
• Solid understanding of application security frameworks and security testing principles and techniques
• Must have practical skills on the use of various penetration testing tools e.g., BurpSuite or Kali
• Familiar with the use of vulnerability management tools
