Job summary

2GO Group in the Philippines seeks a software engineer to develop, enhance, maintain and support our Retail IT systems. You will ensure availability and reliability by delivering production support and collaborating across PMs and users.

The role requires 3–5 years in software development, proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, Flutter, and database experience (Postgres/MySQL/Oracle). Join a team focused on quality, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software applications across web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, users and cross‑functional teams to gather and translate requirements into technical specs.
• Design, develop and implement software applications using defined languages and frameworks.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure quality and functionality.

Here’s the difference you’ll make Your role will be primarily responsible for providing development, enhancement, maintenance, and support activities for our Retail Business Unit. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and reliability of our systems by providing production support.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Project Managers, users, and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement software applications using defined programming languages and frameworks to meet business requirements within agreed timelines.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and functionality.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications (e.g., web applications, mobile applications, custom applications) by troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing enhancements and fixes.
• Provide production support, monitor application performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve application-related incidents and problems, following established incident management processes.
• Document technical specifications, system configurations, and support procedures to ensure proper knowledge transfer and supportability.
• Assist and collaborate with other IT teams in supporting, enhancing, or implementing applications when required.

Others

• Familiarity with the ITIL framework and incident management processes is a bonus but not required.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging application issues, with the ability to analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in repository management, CI/CD.
