Job summary

RCBC in the Philippines seeks a Senior IT Architect to guide the long-range strategic direction of systems, application stack, and data architectures.

You will design and recommend software solutions for complex business needs, ensuring performance and scalability, and collaborate with IT heads to align technology with corporate strategy.

Requires 10–15 years in information planning, systems development, and banking operations, plus excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for providing expert advice and support to the IT Head in determining the long-range strategic direction of systems, the application technical software stack, and databases to be utilized. Understands, from an enterprise perspective, how all data, applications, hardware, and users interact. Designs and recommends software application solutions for diverse and complex business requirements, which can include packaged application customization, custom application development, and well as multi-systems integration.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that new systems are built in a way that best guarantees that functional requirements are met while also making certain that service qualities (performance, scalability, extensibility, etc.) for now and for the future are achievable.
• Reviews and improves existing systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies to seek continual improvement for existing systems.
• Provides high-level guidance and direction on project work, making sure that new projects fit in with an overall strategic vision.
• Provides appropriate technical solutions for a given requirement. Effectively communicates the proposed solution.
• Ensures that proposed and applied changes to packaged systems do not reduce or diminish the package's capability for version upgrades.
• Provides coaching and support to Applications and Technical Support Units on problem resolution, problem solving approaches, and, transfer of applications and technical knowledge.
• Undertakes any other duties or tasks, which may be reasonably assigned by the ITSSG Head, supervising officer, or other concerned IT senior staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or any related field of studies
• Knowledge of software development, IT tools and methodology, and banking operations
• At least ten to fifteen (15) year of experience in the areas of information planning and systems application design, analysis, development and maintenance work with relevant exposure to banking operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
