Job summary

Building Material Distributors, Inc. seeks a strong installation operations leader to guide technicians and support staff across scheduling, staffing, and quality metrics.

You will partner with sales and warehouse teams to ensure seamless project execution while championing safety and continuous improvement. Qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, 5+ years in appliance installation or related field service, and proven leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• 5+ years of appliance installation or related field service experience.
• Proven leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
• Experience leading installation, delivery, service, or home services teams preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology; ERP experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop installation technicians and support staff.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, productivity, quality, and department performance.
• Recruit, train, engage, and retain top talent.
• Partner with Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns and drive issues to completion.
• Monitor safety, service, and operational performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Manage labor resources and schedules to support business demands.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on installation-related issues.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
