GOLDEN ABC, INCORPORATED is seeking a Product Development Associate in Manila to manage day-to-day activities including sample evaluation, fit review, construction assessment, and documentation on the SEF. You will support vendor meetings and coordinate with merchandising and design teams.

The role requires a fashion-related degree, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and a solid grasp of garment construction, color and design principles.

Qualifications

• Fine Arts or related fashion-design field required.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fiber and textile properties.

Responsabilités

• Conduct day-to-day product development activities, mainly fit evaluation and construction.
• Review all samples and document comments on the Sample Evaluation Form (SEF).
• Participate in vendor meetings and coordinate with merchandising and design teams.
• Review and validate worksheets/specs prior to fan out.
• Maintain the sample tracking sheet and departmental files.
• Discuss adjustments with vendors in collaboration with merchandising and design.

JOB PURPOSE

Manages day-to-day product development activities including sample management, fit evaluation, construction review and assessment

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct day-to-day product development activities particularly fit evaluation and construction
• Review of all samples.
• Document/log all comments and instructions with regards to fit, execution and construction on the Sample Evaluation Form (SEF).
• Assist in all vendor meetings.
• Review and validate work sheets/ specs sheets prior to fan out.
• Manage and maintain the sample tracking sheet as well as all departmental files and
• samples.
• Has basic technical understanding of the assigned product category.
• Discuss all adjustments with the assigned vendor together with representatives from merchandising and design.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Must be able to successfully operate in a fast-paced changing environment working on multiple projects and cross functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Fine Arts, Advertising, Industrial Design, Clothing Technology, Fashion and Merchandising, Textile and Garments Technology, or other fashion-related course.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years related working experience

• Garment Technology: Has very good technical understanding of the assigned product category; strong know-how and understanding of fiber and textile properties, garment construction and patterns.
• Merchandising: Familiarity with merchandising principles and concepts.
• Brand: Possess understanding of the assigned brand and its market in order to ensure that designs are consistent with the brand’s image, market and pricing strategies.
• Design: Has understanding of color and design principles; ability to do fashion sketches and illustrations.

SKILLS

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or Corel Draw, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Strong in computer-aided designs and illustrations and specs preparation.
