Job summary

SoftwareOne seeks a Senior Tax Accountant based in Manila to own tax compliance across the Asia region. You will coordinate with accounts payable, AR, and finance to ensure accurate tax postings and timely filings.

The role covers preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns, data collection and reconciliations, and supervising audits. CPA with 7+ years’ experience is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role across APAC regions focusing on tax accounting.
• Exposure to accounting systems and ERP tooling.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s in accounting/commerce/finance with CPA qualifications mandatory, 7+ years experience.
• Proactive, organized and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Strong communicator; collaborates across teams.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns; ensure timely reporting to avoid penalties.
• Developing and maintaining tax data collection, analysis, and reconciliation systems, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and tax schedules.
• Supervising tax audits with tax authorities, external auditors and lawyers.
• Advising management on tax impact of corporate strategies and new tax laws.
• Coordinating outsourced tax preparation work and ensuring policies and standards are adhered to.
