St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Animal Facility Assistant to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our animal care operations and research initiatives. As an Animal Facility Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and humane conditions for laboratory animals whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and institutional standards. This position is integral to the success of our medical research program and the welfare of our animal subjects.
Daily care and maintenance of laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, and sanitation of animal housing facilities
Monitoring animal health and reporting any signs of illness or distress to senior staff
Maintaining detailed records of animal populations, housing assignments, and health observations
Assisting in the preparation of animals for procedures and studies under the supervision of veterinary and research staff
Performing routine cleaning and disinfection of cages, equipment, and facility areas according to established protocols
Assisting with inventory management of animal feed, bedding, and supplies
Supporting compliance with animal care regulations and institutional guideline
Graduate of any four year course
At least one (1) year of laboratory animal care or related experience
