Job summary

Visa, a world leader in payments technology, is seeking an analyst to support the Visa Rules Self-Assessment framework within the Ecosystem Program Transformation & Automation team. You will help govern risk programs, enable automation, and deliver data-driven insights across regions.

In this role you will manage intake and workflow, perform analysis, prepare executive-ready reports, and coordinate with regional and global risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support end-to-end VRSA activities, including intake, planning, stakeholder engagement, analysis, status tracking, and management readouts.
• Review VRSA submissions for completeness, consistency, and alignment with requirements.
• Conduct analysis to identify trends, gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries of VRSA activities.
• Engage with rule owners and risk teams, consolidate stakeholder input, document decisions, track actions through to completion.
• Maintain VRSA records, trackers, documentation, templates, and governance materials.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement across VRSA and EPTA workflows.
• Support design, testing, implementation, and adoption of workflow, automation, data, and AI-enabled enhancements.
• Perform other analytical and operational activities in support of Visa Rules Governance and EPTA priorities.

Job Description

The Ecosystem Program Transformation & Automation (EPTA) function within Payment Ecosystem Risk & Controls (PERC) drives the modernization, scalability, and effectiveness of Visa’s global risk programs. The team focuses on transforming how risk programs are designed, governed, operationalized, and enabled through technology, automation, and data-led insights to protect the integrity of the payment ecosystem, strengthen trust, and enable secure growth by helping evolve risk programs, processes, and platforms across regions.

Visa Rules are mandatory operating standards and enforcement requirements that govern how participants in the Visa payment ecosystem conduct business, define rights, responsibilities, prohibitions, and consequences to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of the network. The Visa Rules Self-Assessment (VRSA) framework is an important initiative that provides a standardized approach for assessing Visa Rules to ensure they remain fit for purpose, aligned with Visa's strategy, and supported by effective compliance and enforcement mechanisms. It enables Visa to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen governance, simplify requirements, address compliance gaps, and improve the overall effectiveness of the Rules framework.

The individual contributor role will initially focus on the Visa Rules Self-Assessment framework while supporting broader process-improvement priorities as business needs evolve. This role will provide analytical, functional, and operational support for the management of the Visa Rules Self-Assessment framework. Responsibilities include supporting intake and workflow management, conducting analysis, developing actionable insights, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and contributing to clear and consistent guidance for internal stakeholders and external ecosystem participants. The role will also supports rules-related process excellence and automation readiness.

Through this work, the analyst helps ensure that Visa Rules remain well-governed, clearly understood, and supported by effective processes, controls, technology, and AI-enabled capabilities.

This role operates at the intersection of rules governance, operational execution, and emerging technology enablement, partnering closely with regional and global teams across Visa.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the end-to-end execution of VRSA activities, including intake, planning, stakeholder engagement, analysis, status tracking, and preparation of management readouts.

• Review VRSA submissions and supporting information for completeness, consistency, and alignment with established requirements and guidance.

• Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, recurring themes, gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Prepare clear, concise, and audience-appropriate reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive-ready summaries of VRSA activities and outcomes.

• Support engagement among rule owners, regional and global Risk teams, functional stakeholders, and other relevant partners, and consolidate stakeholder input, document decisions, support timely and consistent responses and track actions through completion.

• Maintain accurate VRSA records, trackers, process documentation, templates, guidance, and governance materials.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational excellence across VRSA and related EPTA workflows, including playbooks, process flows, RACI matrices, controls, and reporting routines.

• Support the design, testing, implementation, and adoption of workflow, automation, data, and AI-enabled enhancements.

• Perform other related analytical and operational activities in support of Visa Rules Governance and EPTA priorities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and translate findings into practical insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and in an audience-appropriate manner.
• Strong project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and ability to gather and document requirements and translate stakeholder needs into clear deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to the accuracy and quality of data, documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment, and elevate issues appropriately, demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of an organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Preferred qualifications - advantageous but not mandatory:

• Experience in payments, financial services, risk, governance and knowledge of card industry and payments, experience working with business rules, policies, standards is a plus
• Experience with data visualization or reporting tools, such as Power B, familiarity with AI-enabled tools and solutions
• Experience supporting process improvement, automation, workflow, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
