Job summary

SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation is seeking an Inspector to oversee certifying staff tasks in aircraft maintenance, ensuring airworthiness compliance and timely task buy-offs.

The role requires extensive certifying experience on A320/B737/B777 families, CRS and MR authorizations, and a CAAP AMT license with A&P/Avionics. You will lead planning, documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards while guiding staff and ensuring proper use of tools and manuals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience with A320/A330/B737/B777 aircraft types and certifications.
• Recent certifying experience within last 24 months (6 months).
• CRS and MR authorizations required.
• Must have A320/A330/B737 and B777 type ratings and trainings.
• CAAP AMT License with A&P / Avionics rating.
• Graduate of Bachelor/Associate in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
• Solid knowledge and skills in aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and control work for the staff assigned to him.
• Apply, process, and maintain certifying staff authorizations; lead or support aircraft tasks documentation; perform maintenance task final buy-off.
• Certifying and monitoring work to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.
• Provide practical inspection capability to maintenance tasks as the authorized certifying staff.
• Direct responsibility for control and management of non-routine cards; classify findings; order materials as needed.
• Conscious compliance and acknowledgement of regulatory determined limitations and provisions.
• Ensure test equipment, tools, manuals and spares meet airworthiness requirements.

Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 6 years experience and certification of the A320/A330/B737/B777 aircrafts.
• Must have recent certifying experience for 6 months in the last 24 months.
• At least CRS and MR authorization holder.
• Must have A320/A330/B737 and B777 aircraft type ratings and trainings.
• A holder of a valid CAAP AMT License with A&P / Avionics rating.
• A graduate of Bachelor/ Associate in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
• With good knowledge and skills with aircraft maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The inspector is responsible to the unit chief for:

• The organizing, planning, and control of work for the staff assigned to him.
• Has the responsibility to apply, process, and maintain the granted authorizations of certifying staff program. And responsible for aircraft tasks documentations as lead or support staff. Maintenance task final buy-off.
• Certifying and monitoring work carried out to ensure that all work undertaken are in compliance with airworthiness requirements
• Serves to provide practical inspection capability to aircraft maintenance tasks, as the authorized certifying staff.
• Has the direct responsibility of control and management of generation and handling of non-routine card/s. Expert classification of findings and head responsible, authorized staff for material and parts ordering and condition interpretations.
• Conscious compliance and acknowledgement of regulatory determined limitations and provisions.
• Ensuring that test equipment, tools, technical manuals and spares used are in compliance with airworthiness requirements.

• Has the taken priority consideration to be within or exactly on pre-determined dates such as milestones, timelines critical path, fixed deadlines and drop dates. For all tasks, daily processes with critical hour specified entries, program schedules and projects.
• Generates and/or sends on time progress updates, status reports of assigned tasks. Notifying the Unit Chief of any accident/incident and submit the necessary reports in accordance with Flight/Ground Safety Manual.
• Serves as backup function to direct senior staff duties and responsibilities.
• The supervision and control of staff assigned to him with regards to discipline, conduct, appearance, and performance.
• Observes and functions as lead to standard housekeeping.
