About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Aircon Technician to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems for our valued clients across the metropolitan area. As an Aircon Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that cooling systems operate efficiently and safely, providing essential support to keep our clients' environments comfortable and productive. This role is integral to our commitment to delivering exceptional air conditioning and refrigeration services.

What you'll be doing

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration units for residential, commercial and industrial clients
• Diagnose technical problems with cooling systems using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including filter cleaning, refrigerant checks and component inspections
• Recharge air conditioning systems with appropriate refrigerants following industry regulations and safety standards
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and identify necessary repairs or replacements
• Test air conditioning units after repairs or installation to ensure proper functioning
• Document all work completed, including maintenance records and service reports
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs from clients
• Provide customers with advice on system maintenance and energy efficiency improvements
• Adhere to all safety regulations, environmental protocols and company policies

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Aircon Technician or in a similar air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance role
• Technical certification or licence in air conditioning and refrigeration services (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, components, and refrigerants
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, gauges, and other specialised equipment
• Ability to read technical blueprints and system schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and professional customer service approach
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client locations within Metro Manila
• Reliability and strong work ethic with a commitment to completing tasks on schedule
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and proper refrigerant handling practices is advantageous
