FOD Corporation (Vista Marina Hotel) is seeking an experienced Aircon Technician to join our maintenance team in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. This full-time role focuses on keeping hotel HVAC and refrigeration systems at peak performance to ensure guest comfort and smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have HVAC certification or diploma, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a track record of proactive maintenance in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircon/HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Technical certification or diploma in air conditioning, refrigeration, or HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in air conditioning units, compressors, and refrigeration systems.
• Perform emergency repairs to minimise downtime and maintain guest comfort.
• Charge, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Test and calibrate temperature controls and thermostats.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs for all equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and health regulations.

About the role

FOD Corporation (Vista Marina Hotel) is seeking an experienced Aircon Technician to join our maintenance team in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the comfort and operational efficiency of our hotel's air conditioning and refrigeration systems. As an Aircon Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all climate control systems operate at peak performance, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and the smooth running of our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel facilities
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in air conditioning units, compressors, and refrigeration systems
• Perform emergency repairs to minimise downtime and maintain guest comfort
• Charge, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations
• Test and calibrate temperature controls and thermostats
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs for all equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and management
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and health regulations at all times
• Assist in training junior technicians and support team members on system operations and maintenance procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Aircon/HVAC Technician or in a similar air conditioning and refrigeration role
• Technical certification or diploma in air conditioning, refrigeration, or HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for system testing and analysis
• Understanding of electrical systems and their relationship to HVAC equipment
• Familiarity with EPA regulations and refrigerant handling procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment
• Valid driver's licence (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
