The Air Import Operator is responsible for the effective management and reporting of MAWBs. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the smooth operation of air import processes.
Here’s what you will doing:
Reporting air freight in Expedient software: Accurately input and maintain shipment details in the Expedient software system to ensure real-time visibility and tracking.
Tracking master air-way bills: Monitor and update the status of master air-way bills to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
Reporting cargo ETA updates: Provide regular updates on the estimated time of arrival for cargo to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication.
Working with cargo terminal operators: Coordinate with CTO’s to facilitate the efficient release of MAWBs to cartage.
Collaborating with Brownways: Partner with Brownways to manage the transportation of MAWBs from terminals to Freight Hawk warehouses.
Here’s what our ideal candidate looks like:
Experience: Previous experience in air freight operations or logistics is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Expedient software and other relevant freight management systems is desirable.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reporting and tracking shipments.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions in the shipment process.
