Job summary

Atlan is building the AI-ready context layer for enterprise data. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core platform teams, owning foundational systems, data ingestion, metadata, and multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.

This role demands hands-on technical leadership, deep distributed systems expertise, and the ability to scale teams while delivering reliable, high-performance services that power AI-enabled applications across the globe.

Qualifications

• Experience building data or platform primitives at scale.
• Platform leadership experience with managing managers.
• Strong distributed systems and reliability depth.
• Builder mindset with high agency and ownership.
• Systems thinker who connects technical decisions to product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering charter to design and evolve an AI-ready context store across structured, unstructured, vector, and graph systems.
• Own core platform primitives and end-to-end delivery of ingestion, routing, storage, and serving layers.
• Guide architecture and system design; review RFCs and unblock critical issues.
• Scale teams, implement SLO discipline, and improve on-call practices and incident response.
