Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking a skilled Full Stack AI/ML Data Scientist to build production ML solutions using Vertex AI, GCP, Python, and SQL, owning end-to-end model lifecycle and collaborating with a pioneer team for Australia’s digital media intelligence.

The role offers a hybrid work setup in Ortigas, with Day Shift, weekends off, and opportunities to deepen production ML expertise while advancing into generative/agentic AI.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Hands-on end-to-end DS/ML projects with ownership from development to production.
• Must-have: strong GCP and Vertex AI experience.
• Proven Vertex AI expertise across training, deployment, monitoring.
• Strong Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL skills.
• Experience with data pipelines, APIs, CI/CD for ML, and Docker.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, A/B testing, and uplift modelling.

Responsibilities

• Translate commercial goals into technical requirements with business partners.
• Maintain production ML solutions from deployment to monitoring.
• Develop models using user behavior and engagement data for business decisions.
• Apply Python and SQL to large-scale datasets and ensure explainability.
• Containerize models with Docker and manage via CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Cloud Build).
• Deploy and manage models on Vertex AI with drift detection and monitoring.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Several years of hands-on experience delivering end-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning projects, with genuine ownership across development, deployment, and production operations
• Must-have: Strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, with practical experience operating machine learning workloads in cloud environments
• Must-have: Proven Google Vertex AI expertise across model training, deployment, lifecycle management, monitoring, and production operations
• Strong Python proficiency, including pandas, scikit-learn, and gradient boosting libraries such as XGBoost or LightGBM
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets
• Experience with data pipelines, APIs, CI/CD for ML projects, and Docker containerization
• Experience developing ML evaluation frameworks and applying model explainability techniques such as SHAP or LIME
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG, vector databases, generative AI, LangChain, Google ADK, or agentic AI is highly valued but not essential
• Familiarity with Terraform and Kubernetes, plus experience with A/B testing, causal inference, or uplift modelling, is a strong advantage
• Experience in Media, Telecommunications, or Finance is welcome but not essential

Your Daily Tasks

• Translate commercial goals into clear technical requirements in close collaboration with business partners
• Stay involved through deployment to ensure solutions deliver both technical and commercial value
• Develop machine learning models from customer behavior, product usage, and engagement data to support real business decisions
• Apply Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or LightGBM, and SQL across large-scale datasets
• Apply strong feature engineering, validation, and model explainability to deliver reliable and trusted predictions
• Take models from validated concepts to live, monitored production services
• Containerize models with Docker and deploy through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar tools
• Deploy and manage models on Google Vertex AI with drift detection, retraining, monitoring, and evaluation
• Apply Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform where appropriate
• Design solutions using large language models such as Gemini, Claude, or open-source models as the role evolves
• Explore agentic architectures using frameworks such as LangChain or ADK
• Develop retrieval-augmented systems using vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate
• Apply fine-tuning approaches such as LoRA or QLoRA as opportunities arise
• Write transformation logic in SQL or Python
• Orchestrate data pipelines using GCP, Airflow, or similar tools
• Query cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery directly
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Build stakeholder trust and communicate the business impact of data science initiatives effectively
