Toptal is hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-velocity team focused on AI-powered tooling. You will guide both back-end and front-end engineers, work with product managers, and shape platform outcomes. This is a fully remote role operating with an international team.

You will drive architecture decisions, ensure high code quality, and mentor engineers while delivering customer-visible features that impact revenue and product strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend/frontend and database experience.
• 2+ years leading an Engineering team.
• Track record delivering products as an engineer and engineering manager.
• Experience managing small teams with high autonomy.
• Ability to evaluate architecture trade-offs and performance.
• Experience with AI tooling, data labeling, or media processing is a plus.
