Job summary

Strata Cloud Accountants is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support its fractional CFO team and a portfolio of clients. The role relies on strong accounting judgment, QBO fluency, advanced spreadsheets, and AI-enabled workflows to deliver high-quality, client-ready analyses.

Responsibilities include building 13-week cash flow forecasts, budgets, KPI dashboards, data extraction from QBO files, data cleaning and mapping, and presenting concise commentary to CFO leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent accounting and FP&A experience considered.
• 3–5 years of accounting, client accounting services, FP&A support, controllership, or similar role.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; experience with QBO Advanced, Spreadsheet Sync, Fathom, Spotlight or similar reporting tools preferred.
• Experience building or maintaining cash flow forecasts, budgets, forecasts, KPI dashboards, variance analyses, or client-facing financial summaries.
• Comfort using AI tools safely and practically to accelerate work while validating results against source data and accounting judgment.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts, budgets, forecast refreshes, budget-to-actual reports, KPI dashboards, and client-facing financial summaries.
• Pull and review data from client QBO files, including chart of accounts, classes, locations, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, AR/AP aging, and reconciliations.
• Clean, structure, and map accounting data for reporting formats; identify missing or unusual transactions and communicate readiness for forecasting or dashboards.
• Use AI and automation tools to improve formulas, draft financial commentary, document processes, and speed up analysis while validating outputs against source data.
• Create and refine KPI dashboards and management reporting in Excel, Google Sheets, Fathom, Spotlight, or similar tools.
• Translate financial information into clear commentary for CFO leads and managers.
• Manage recurring deadlines and multiple clients without compromising deliverable quality.
• Develop repeatable templates, SOPs, and workflows to scale CFO deliverables across a client portfolio.
