Job summary

Cygnific Manila is seeking a hands-on AI Application Developer to join our Innovation team in Manila. You will design, build, test, and improve AI-enabled applications, agents, and integrations to solve real business problems across Cygnific and client environments.

You will work in a Microsoft-based enterprise setting, applying modern AI engineering practices, and ensuring secure, scalable, and usable solutions in production.

Qualifications

Senior profile with 6–8 years of relevant technical experience.
Experience in software development, application development, cloud development, automation, integration, or data engineering.
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled applications, LLMs, CoPilots, chatbots, RAG, or API-based AI integrations.

Responsibilities

Design and develop AI-enabled applications, copilots, and agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
Create and maintain connectors, APIs, and webhooks to bridge Microsoft 365 and Azure AI solutions with internal/external systems.
Design prompts, system instructions, context flows, and tool calling patterns for reliable AI behavior.
Collaborate with Innovation/Product Managers and UX Designers in agile sprints.
Document architecture, data flows, and configurations for support and scalability.

Job description

Cygnific is looking for a hands-on Artificial Intelligence Application Developer to join our Innovation team in Manila. You will design, build, test, and improve AI-enabled applications, agents, integrations, and reusable components that solve real business problems across Cygnific and our client environments.

You will build for a Microsoft-based enterprise environment, while applying modern AI engineering practices and staying close to the wider AI ecosystem. The focus is on choosing the right tools, models, and patterns to deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and usable in real operations.

This role complements Cygnific’s existing RPA and Power Platform capabilities, focusing on AI application engineering, integrations, and reusable components that move from prototype to real-world use.

You will work as part of an international Innovation function, contributing directly to how AI is applied across Cygnific and for our clients.

The goal is simple: build AI solutions that are useful, secure, responsible, and valuable.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Develop AI-Driven Applications and Agents

Develop and maintain AI-enabled applications, copilots, and agents, primarily using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services

Design controlled agentic workflows that can retrieve information, call tools, use APIs, follow business rules, and involve humans at the right decision points. Ensure agent actions are traceable, permission-aware, and auditable.

Design prompts, system instructions, context flows, and tool/function calling patterns that make AI behaviour reliable and testable

Build AI components, APIs, and integration patterns that can connect into Microsoft 365, Power Platform, RPA, Azure services, and enterprise systems where these are the right delivery channels

Develop conversational and task-based AI experiences across collaboration channels such as Microsoft Teams

Integrate and Extend Systems

Create and maintain custom connectors, APIs, and webhooks to bridge Microsoft 365 and Azure AI solutions with internal and external systems.

Design and build AI-enabled solutions that integrate with client customer-service environments and CRM platforms - extending their functionality with intelligent automation, insights, and digital assistants

Work with ICT, BI/Data, and Governance teams to ensure proper authentication, secure hosting, and compliance with enterprise data policies.

Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability for AI applications, including latency, cost, errors, tool-call behaviour, retrieval quality, and production reliability.

Ensure Quality, Security, and Responsible AI

Apply data protection, responsible AI, and governance standards to all AI-enabled solutions.

Implement secure data storage, access control, and authentication practices using Azure or equivalent cloud services - ensuring data integrity, compliance, and reliable performance across AI applications

Conduct testing, code reviews, and quality checks to maintain solution reliability.

Document architecture, data flows, and configurations to enable support and scalability.

Create and maintain evaluation sets, regression tests, groundedness checks, hallucination checks, and output-quality criteria for AI-enabled applications.

Collaborate, Co-Create, and Communicate

Partner with Innovation/Product Managers, Tech Leads, and UX Designers to translate business challenges into AI-enabled opportunities.

Participate in agile sprints, backlog refinement, and design sessions in collaboration with the Cygnific Innovation team.

Contribute to demos, showcases, and documentation, clearly explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Work jointly with leads to enable and inspire early adopters in other departments to leverage low-code and AI tools.

Learn, Evolve, and Scale Reusability

Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving AI and data landscape - including Azure AI Services, Copilot extensibility, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI integration, AI Builder, and responsible AI frameworks.

Keep pace with the broader AI ecosystem - exploring emerging technologies, frameworks, and open-source tools that can enhance Cygnific’s AI development and enable a more AI-empowered workforce.

Experiment with AI integration patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and data grounding to connect AI solutions with enterprise and client content.
