Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Software Engineer for the Agent Infrastructure team to build and scale training and production platforms, including an in-house container orchestration system, as well as the platform and integrations to launch agentic products to users worldwide.

You will work closely with research and product teams to deploy high-performance systems for large-scale agentic models, and contribute to production-grade infrastructure, APIs, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI infrastructure at scale.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers to design high-performance systems.
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Push massive compute clusters to their limits with a novel in-house container orchestration platform.
• Develop and maintain FastAPI and gRPC APIs for training and production.
• Use Terraform to stand up and evolve complex infrastructure for research and production.
• Collaborate with research teams to optimize systems for AI training runs and experimental applications.
