Job summary

Globe Telecom in the Philippines is seeking an RF/Radio Network Engineer to help design and optimize wireless access networks, focusing on macro, small cell, and site surveys.

The role involves evaluating technical requirements, delivering design parameters, and supporting the update of engineering databases and tools to ensure data integrity across network projects.

Responsibilities

• Provides support on radio network engineering for new site builds.
• Evaluates new technical requirements, RF design plans and solutions.
• Delivers site design details (baseline parameters) and Cell Loading Plan.
• Prepares and endorses Search Ring maps.
• Generates Technical Site Survey Reports.
• Evaluates site candidates and performs nominal planning for macro, small cells.
• Develops guidelines for the database and tools usage.
• Develops radio network engineering standards and processes for new solutions.
• Performs ad-hoc tasks and supports special projects.
• Supports event preparations with technical survey and TSSR work.
• Conducts search ring, TSSR, and site surveys for new rollouts.
• Provides technical solutions for events coverage.
• Updates engineering databases and tools to ensure timeliness and data integrity.

Job Description

Determines optimal wireless access network (radio network) design and specifications by applying Wireless access network principles and standards, General radio principles and standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides support on radio network engineering for new site builds
• Evaluation of new technical requirements, RF design plans and solutions
• Provides engineering site design details (baseline parameters) and Cell Loading Plan
• Preparation and endorsement of Search Ring map.
• Generation of Technical Site Survey Reports.
• Evaluation of site candidates, Nominal Planning for Macro, Small Cell and Repeater deployments
• Preparation of guidelines and processes in the use of the database and tools
• Preparation of radio network engineering standards, guidelines, and processes on using new solutions such as easy macro and small cells.
• Performs ad-hoc tasks and supports special projects requested by other groups:
• Assists on special events preparations by providing technical solutions, support in survey and TSSR creation.
• Preparation of Search Ring and TSSR, and site surveying for new site rollouts, small cell deployments to support Network and Business requirements
• Provides technical solutions for areas covered by special events
• Updating of Engineering databases and tools (with the established processes) ensuring timeliness and data integrity. Examples are:
• 1. Asset Planning Tool
• 2. Coverage Databases
• 3. Site Nomination Database
• 4. Cell Load Plan update

• Support for Cyclic & Special Events
• Handling of Customer Complaint
