Job summary

Maxicare Healthcare Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking an Actuarial Supervisor to oversee pricing activities within the Consumer Pricing Unit and to lead the Actuarial Analyst team for product pricing and medical utilization cost analyses.

The role includes onboarding and training Actuarial Analysts, validating data from Maxicare systems, and delivering pricing recommendations for new and renewing products to senior stakeholders in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Preferably BS Mathematics, BS Statistics, BS Actuarial Science, BS Applied Mathematics, BS Economics, BS Computer Science, BS Data Analytics, BS Artificial Intelligence, or BS Electronics and Communication Engineering
• At least 2–4 years of actuarial experience in health, life, or general insurance.
• Knowledge in Google Applications (e.g. Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs) and MS Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Actuarial Analyst
• Review reports and deliverables prepared by the Actuarial Analyst
• Onboard new Actuarial Analyst
• Track performance and quality of work of Actuarial Analyst
• Provide support for escalations
• Gather, validate, and analyze data from Maxicare system sources such as Utilization, Masterlist, Total Contract Value, LOA Issuance
• Price new products and provide recommendations for pricing to Superiors for validation and approval
• Communicate results to concerned departments
• Reprice / Renewal review of existing products and provide renewal recommendations
• Prepare required documents for regulatory compliance
• Handle special projects and other related functions as assigned
• Monitor Consumer Products and maintain pricing/quotation files
