Job summary

Manulife MBPS Actuarial invites an Actuarial Director, JP Pricing to lead governance and end-to-end pricing processes for sustainable value. You will partner with pricing, product, risk, finance, valuation, and technology teams to strengthen controls and scalable pricing practices.

The role emphasizes modeling standards, actuarial oversight, and actionable insights for senior leadership, with opportunities to influence strategy in a global actuarial center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• 8–12+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance with pricing exposure.
• Progress toward fellowship; professional certification preferred.
• Proven ability to lead pricing initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Review and improve end-to-end pricing workflows from ideation to launch.
• Strengthen pricing standards, approval processes, and governance routines.
• Provide oversight on pricing methodologies, profitability analysis, and assumption reasonableness.
• Translate actuarial analysis into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, risk, finance, IT and governance teams to ensure robust pricing controls.
