Job summary

FWD Life Philippines seeks an Actuarial Associate Manager for Corporate Actuarial to lead management reporting, experience monitoring, and forecasting cycles. The role improves planning workflows and drives insights on drivers of business results.

Responsibilities include developing EV models in Prophet, monitoring experience factors, and delivering continuous process improvements through automation and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Computation and analysis of Embedded Value in accordance with FWD's Embedded Value Policy, including margin movements and underlying drivers, variances to plan and forecasts, and analysis of movements from period to period.
• Develop, maintain and improve EV models, including set-up of new products in the Prophet workspace, working with the centralized modeling team to vet models and ensure these are ready for production.
• Regular forecasting and business planning.
• Monitor emerging actuarial experience (e.g., claims, persistency, overruns, etc.) and provide recommendatory actions, and ensure EV properly reflects approved best estimate assumptions.
• Drive margin improvement initiatives (e.g., reinsurance solutions, assumption review, model improvements, etc.).
• Continuously improve reporting processes by streamlining manual processes, DCS automation, improving worksheet efficiencies, etc.
• Lead other special projects that may be assigned from time-to-time (e.g., sensitivity testing, impact quantification, special initiatives, etc.).
