Job summary

Insular Oil Corporation is seeking a Credit/Financial Analyst to support credit evaluation, SBLC monitoring, and performance analysis. You will assess financial statements and ratios to guide credit decisions and help protect the company’s financial interests.

The role involves recommending credit terms, monitoring delinquent accounts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely reporting and accurate risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial/credit analysis or AR.
• Strong skills in financial statement analysis, ratio interpretation, and credit risk assessment; proficient in Excel and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, coordination and organizational abilities.
• Experience in petroleum/oil & gas, logistics, banking, or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and key ratios to assess performance and credit risk.
• Recommend credit lines, payment terms, and collateral/SBLC requirements.
• Present analyses and recommendations at Credit Committee meetings.
• Monitor delinquent/inactive accounts, collections, and legal endorsements.
• Maintain SBLCs, including expirations and renewals.
• Assist with new account enrollment, credit investigations, AR monitoring, and credit evaluations.
• Coordinate with Industrial Specialists, Billing & Collection, Credit Evaluation and other teams.
• Prepare daily/monthly financial analysis, SBLC, and delinquent account reports.

About the role

Responsible for financial analysis, credit risk monitoring, delinquent account management, SBLC monitoring, and credit evaluation support to protect the company's financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and key financial ratios to assess account performance and credit risk




• Recommend appropriate credit lines, payment terms, and collateral/SBLC requirements




• Present financial analysis and recommendations during Credit Committee (CRECOM) meetings




• Monitor delinquent/inactive accounts, collection efforts, and legal endorsements




• Maintain and monitor Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), including expirations and renewals




• Assist with new account enrollment, credit investigations, AR monitoring, Sales Orders, and Credit Evaluations




• Coordinate with Industrial Specialists, Billing & Collection, Credit Evaluation, and other internal teams




• Prepare daily/monthly financial analysis, SBLC, and delinquent account reports

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, Banking & Finance, Management, or related field




• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial/credit analysis, credit evaluation, AR, lending, banking, or related functions




• Strong skills in financial statement analysis, ratio interpretation, credit risk assessment, Excel, reporting, and problem-solving




• Strong attention to detail, communication, coordination, and organizational skills




• Experience in petroleum/oil & gas, logistics, banking, or commercial industries is an advantage
