Job summary

Wipro Philippines Inc. in Cebu City seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead / Deputy Manager to lead Vendor Master Data Management for a global client engagement. You will oversee day-to-day AP operations, coach the Cebu team, and collaborate with Chennai leadership to deliver service excellence.

Based onsite with night shift, you will drive process improvements, governance, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance and continuous learning across a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable operations.
• 2 to 3 years of people management experience.
• Strong experience in Vendor Master Data Management (VMD).
• Experience in a BPO / Shared Services / Global Business Services environment.
• Experience managing offshore, remote, or geographically distributed teams.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with customers and client stakeholders.
• Experience managing operational transitions, service stabilization, or process transformation initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Vendor Master Data (VMD) and Accounts Payable operations to ensure service delivery excellence.
• Monitor daily operational performance, productivity, quality, SLA adherence, and backlog management.
• Drive operational governance, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
• Support stabilization and transition activities while ensuring business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with client, company, information security, and audit requirements.
• Serve as the primary on-site and off-site leader for the Cebu and Chennai AP team.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, guidance, and performance management for team members.
• Drive employee engagement, retention initiatives, recognition programs, and team morale.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, skip-level discussions, and development conversations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Act as the key coordination point between Cebu-based resources and Chennai leadership teams.
• Partner closely with client stakeholders, operations leaders, HR, Quality, Training, and Workforce Management teams.
• Represent the AP function in operational reviews, governance discussions, and leadership forums.
• Ensure timely communication and escalation management across all stakeholders.
• Drive onboarding and integration programs for new hires.
• Support cultural assimilation and engagement initiatives for employees who have joined from non-BPO backgrounds.
• Facilitate buddy programs, coaching plans, and employee support mechanisms.
• Collaborate with site leadership to promote inclusion and participation in organizational engagement activities.
• Support the manage for strong relationships with client stakeholders and business partners.
• Ensure a customer-centric approach to service delivery as per the manager’s direction.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across AP and Vendor Master processes.
