Job summary

Merck Gruppe is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Accounts Payable to drive end-to-end I2P processes across ERP systems. You will guide best practices, train staff, perform 3C/RCA analyses, and collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT to align AP with strategic goals.

The role requires deep AP knowledge, effective problem-solving, and the ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years work experience in Accounts Payables end to end operations.
• Extensive background in end to end Accounts Payable, GRIR/Vendor Reconciliation.
• Excellent problem-solving with Lean/3C/RCA for process improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to expert on Accounts Payable, systems, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and enhance user experience within AP.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on AP processes and systems.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements.
• Lead 3C/RCA problem-solving sessions to address operational challenges.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to align AP with business objectives.
• Maintain documentation of AP procedures and generate reports to track performance.
