Job summary

BH Properties is seeking an Accounting Team Leader to lead our Philippine-based accounting operations remotely, aligning with US Pacific Time business hours. The role reports to the Senior Managing Director and focuses on overseeing contractor invoices, property assignments, and team performance.

The ideal candidate has CPA credentials, Latin honors, 10+ years in audit/accounting with a Big 4 background, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is required.
• Latin honors (cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude) required.
• At least 10 years audit/accounting experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Proficient MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Philippine accounting teams and processes.
• Review contractor invoices and property assignments.
• Monitor team performance and implement process improvements.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal/external use.
• Coordinate training, onboarding and offboarding.
• Support Senior Managing Director with accounting tasks.

POSITION

The Accounting Team Leaderwill join our team remotely. This position will work during standard US Pacific Time business hours.

REPORTING RESPONSIBILITY

This role will report to the Senior Managing Director.

DUTIES

• Assist in overseeing the teams in the Philippines including but not limited to the following:
  • Review and processing of contractor invoices
  • Update of property assignments
  • Review and monitoring of the team’s performance
• Perform oversight of the accounting function in the Philippines.
• Identify and propose process enhancements.
• Support and assist in the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in operations.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external use.
• Help organize and facilitate training sessions, onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Provide high-level accounting and administrative support to the Senior Managing Director.
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Senior Managing Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 10years of audit / accounting experience with one of theBig 4 accounting firms with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess strong work ethic.
• Must be a team player.
