Job summary

MG Gallery Accounting Department is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor in the Philippines to lead staff, ensure accurate monthly and quarterly reports, and maintain compliance with accounting standards.

You will work closely with department heads to keep budgets in check, identify financial irregularities, and provide management with regular financial updates to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as accounting supervisor or senior accountant.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly accounting reports.
• Analyze financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Identify cash flow issues and financial irregularities.
• Ensure budgeting and cost control across departments.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Supervise account clerks and junior staff.
• Provide regular management updates on finances.
• Ensure compliance with accounting legislation.

Job Description:

• Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor.
• Assisting staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
• Analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted
• accounting practices.-Identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
• Liaising with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget.
• Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
• Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Supervising and providing overall guidance to account clerks as well as junior accounting staff.
• Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.
• Ensuring that the company maintains compliance with accounting legislation.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce.
• Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and self-motivated
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must possess exceptionally good communication skills, both in written and verbal form
