Job summary

Philippine Vending Group in Pasig City, Metro Manila, is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead the finance team on a full-time basis. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to lead and mentor team members.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks
• Review and verify financial transactions, account reconciliations, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensure all accounting records are maintained in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment authorization
• Conduct reconciliation of general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting team members to ensure consistent quality and professional development
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with auditing requirements
• Identify process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements within the accounting function
