QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is an advantage, but not always required.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and financial modeling.
Familiarity with accounting systems and hospital financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, HIS).
Good communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure.
Knowledge of healthcare finance policies, insurance (PhilHealth/HMOs), and revenue cycle is a plus.
With at least 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
Experience in hospital or healthcare finance is highly preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Accounting Staff in a hospital setting is responsible for analyzing financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle management, and strategic financial planning. The role helps ensure the hospital maintains financial stability, operational efficiency, and compliance with healthcare financial standards.
Analyze hospital financial data including revenues, expenditures, profitability, and trends.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in variance analysis.
Support cost-benefit analyses for new services, equipment purchases, or capital projects.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for management review.
Coordinate with accounting, billing, purchasing, and department heads for financial planning.
Evaluate financial risks and propose cost-control strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, DOH guidelines, and financial reporting standards.
Participate in audits and provide necessary financial documentation.
Assist in revenue cycle analysis—billing, collections, reimbursements (PhilHealth, HMOs).
Use hospital financial software and Excel for data modeling and dashboards.
