Job summary

OMRON Group in Makati is seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to perform end-to-end accounting for our Working Partners, focusing on AP, AR, and month-end close while ensuring timely reporting to OHQ.

You will work with international stakeholders, maintain master data, and support process improvements to strengthen internal controls under IFRS and JSOX considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years in general accounting (AP/AR/close).
• Familiar with IFRS and reporting.
• Experience with JD Edwards or ERP systems.
• Ability to work with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end accounting activities for assigned Working Partners (WPs).
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, and month-end close.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals and schedules; report to OHQ by the 2nd working day.
• Set up and maintain master data for customers, suppliers, and service items; ensure internal controls.

Job description

We are the shared services arm of OMRON, supporting our global operations through efficient and reliable service delivery. We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team and work closely with international stakeholders to help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform end-to-end accounting activities for assigned Working Partners (WPs). The role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment preparation and month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to OMRON Headquarters (OHQ) in line with group accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Payments

• Process supplier invoices and credit card postings for assigned WPs
• Prepare payments, including JPMorgan Payment Factory payment batches, for WP approval
• Perform credit card reconciliations and follow up on missing receipts

Accounts Receivable & Customer Accounting

• Perform customer accounting, cash application and AR reconciliations
• Support credit control activities, including follow-up of overdue balances
• Prepare customer invoices in JD Edwards (JDE) starting December 2026

Month-End Close & Reporting

• Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules
• Support the month-end closing process to ensure reporting to OHQ by the 2nd working day
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and flag unusual movements for review

Master Data & Controls

• Set up and maintain customer, supplier and service item master data after WP approval
• Maintain proper documentation in line with internal controls and Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (JSOX) requirements
• Support initiatives to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in general accounting, covering AP, AR and month-end close
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight closing deadlines
• Good communication skills for working with international stakeholders
• Experience supporting multinational or shared services operations is an advantage
• Must be comfortable reporting on-site 1-2 times per week in Makati
