Responsibilities
- Handle regulatory compliance matters including business permits, licenses, and coordination with government authorities (e.g., Bureau of Internal Revenue and Securities and Exchange Commission).
- Develop, update, and implement internal accounting policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Lead and execute end‑to‑end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss), month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
- Serve as main point of contact for external and internal audits.
- Review and approve expense payment requests and ensure proper documentation.
- Execute overseas supplier payments and fund transfers.
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including store sales and rent‑related transactions.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
- Oversee tax compliance including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax filings with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
- Prepare and submit financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to HQ.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform account reconciliations.
- Provide financial insights to management.
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting systems (ERP).
- Perform other accounting‑related duties as assigned.
- Report to Japanese Administration Manager in the Philippines and HQ Accounting Manager in Malaysia.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in audit support and independently handling monthly and annual closing operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Business level English.
- Strong mindset aligned with the 4Cs: Change, Challenge, Competition, and Communication.
- Certification of CPA.
- Work experience in consulting, law, or accounting firm.
