Metrobank is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The role focuses on recording, verifying, balancing, and posting daily transactions across multiple HO units, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to support management decisions.

The successful candidate will handle transaction validation across various systems, prepare exception notices, and maintain GL EGL records, contributing to reliable financial statements and compliant archival documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, balance, reconcile, and post daily transactions for HO units.
• Check, validate and ensure accuracy of transactions from various systems.
• Prepare reminder/exception notices for un-posted transactions.
• Prepare input/correction advices for CA/SA deposits.
• Encode and record transactions daily in the online GL EGL.
• Maintain and file system reports and documents per archival policies.
• Reconcile balances of subsidiary ledger accounts against GL EGL.
• Coordinate with units for inter-office reconciliation and float items.
• Generate and submit daily IOR data for reconciliation.
• Provide summaries of unreconciled items to units.
