van den Boom & Associates, a life sciences focused firm, seeks an Accounting Manager to join the internal operations team in Manila. You will review close, payroll, AP, and financial reporting, while coaching Accounting Coordinators and leading process improvements.

The role reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting and emphasizes implementing systems, building workflows, and delivering timely internal financial insights across multiple entities and geographies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Progressive professional accounting experience, including reviewing others’ work (close, payroll, and/or AP).
• Strong command of month-end close, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Self-directed and hands-on, able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Review the work of Accounting Coordinator(s) across day-to-day internal accounting functions, providing coaching and feedback.
• Review the month-end close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Review payroll processing, including US payroll and Philippines payroll.
• Review accounts payable, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, approved, and paid.
• Prepare, review, and deliver internal financial reports to firm leadership.
• Maintain firm accounting records and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Analyze results, trends, and opportunities for leadership.
• Own special accounting projects and higher-complexity work.
• Identify, scope, and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
• Support system implementations and migrations, and help build repeatable, well-documented workflows.
• Perform other related duties or projects as assigned by management.
