Job summary

Viking Cold Storage (Davao), Inc. is seeking an Accounting Officer to work closely with the Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, support staff, and ensure the accuracy of financial records during month-end close.

You will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, assist in audits, and reinforce internal controls to ensure timely, accurate reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, based in Davao City.

Qualifications

• A BS Accountancy graduate with relevant coursework.
• 3–5 years experience in journal entries, AP and AR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising accounting staff to ensure accurate workflow.
• Support preparation, analysis and review of financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts per standards.
• Oversee daily accounting ops including AP, AR, and payroll.
• Contribute to internal audits and support external audits.
• Identify process improvements to tighten controls and accuracy.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close activities.
